If it weren't for the complete lack of anybody speaking my language here, I'd think this was a g reat place. I still think it's a great place, really, I just wish there were somebody here with wh om I could socialize.
Cambrai is not exactly a big tourist town. I'm not even sure why anyone would come here, thoug h there was a sign on the highway that said something about their being a famous Abbey in Cambrai. At any rate, the staff doesn't speak any English, so I don't imaging that they get a lot of Englis h-speaking guests. In fact, it's almost July (high tourist season), and I have a 6-bed room all to myself. There are a few French people staying here, but they're already in a group, and my French really isn't that great, which makes it hard to strike up a conversation.
At any rate, for 52F (about $9), this is a great place to stay, if you just happen to be in the middle of nowhere, in a village called Cambrai.
