Links
There's not much here yet. In the near future, I hope to have links to interesting articles
(scientific, political, etc.), files of interest and other sites which you may find useful
or interesting. At any rate, I find them useful and interesting.
Here's a start:
- S.C.S., Spy Camera Specialists
"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you!"
Some of the stuff on this site genuinely creeps me out. Do I have to start
covering up the alarm clock in my hotel rooms?
- MedsMex.com
The pharmaceutical companies are doing everything they can to shut places
like this down. For the time being, you can still buy medications at discounts
of up to 75% off of American prices. Do you still think that the
pharmaceutical companies don't need price regulation?
- FedStats home page
So, you got into a discussion about the poverty level in Kansas or the price of corn
in Iowa. Somebody pulled some bogus statistics out of their butt and you didn't know any
better. Here's the site to go to for all your American statistical needs.
- WordOrigins.org
So, what exactly is the origin of "Caesarean section"? Is "to call a spade a spade"
a racist term, or not? This is quite an interesting site if you have any interest
in linguistics.
- Aplus.net
Want your own domain? These guys have really cheap domain name registration.
Don't even think about them for web hosting, though: their product is inferior and
their service is abysmal in comparison to other companies. If you need web hosting,
go to...
- IPowerWeb.com
Who do you think is hosting the site you're reading right now? Yep, IPowerWeb.com.
Good service, GREAT web hosting prices, lots of storage space, plenty of bandwidth,
all the bells and whistles. Heck, I might even put up one of their banner ads and
join their referral program.
- English Dictionary
Has some annoying pop-up ads, but it's one of the better dictionary sites I've found
thusfar. Everybody should have a dictionary on their favorites list for quick access,
if you ask me.
- The Merck Manuals online
You can't get everything online yet, but you can get the Merck Manual,
a truly phenomenal medical reference material. It's searchable, and it's the
complete text of the published book, not just a summary or sampling.
That's it for now. At some point, I'll organize this kind of thing into categories
and make it look nicer.
